HUKA diving can be compared to a form of advanced snorkelling; it is an excellent step between snorkelling and scuba diving, with all the fun of both. There is lots of potential in HUKA. Many people are more inclined to give it a try — there are no classes or certification needed, it’s perceived as less "dangerous" and requires less gear. There is no Master Diver needed, just a HUKA guide and it’s also safer with a 20 ft. deep maximum. Moreover, the minimum age for HUKA diving is only 8 years old, and parents are much more inclined to having their kids partake in a safe HUKA dive! Compared to scuba diving, HUKA diving is highly accessible.
